Former MP Rory Amon pleads not guilty to child rape and assault
Former Pittwater Liberal MP Rory Amon pleaded not guilty Friday to child rape and assault charges in NSW Supreme Court. The 36-year-old faces retrial on two counts after a jury deadlocked in his March trial over allegations involving a 13-year-old boy in 2017. Amon quit parliament in August 2024 after charges were filed. His retrial is scheduled for November.
