Removing plastic from our food chain yields quick results, researchers say
Researchers from the University of Western Australia demonstrated that reducing plastic contact in food can drastically lower plastic chemicals in the human body. In a study of 211 adults, participants showed phthalate reductions of over 44 percent and bisphenol reductions over 50 percent after just one week. Further research is planned to assess health impacts and safe plastic levels.
