The plan to revive Sydney’s most divisive office block

Wentworth Group plans to revive the MLC Building in North Sydney after purchasing it for over $100 million in February. The heritage-listed site, vacant since 2022, will be refurbished into A-grade commercial space and is expected to reopen by next year. Mayor Zoe Baker stated the upgrade will support the revitalization of the CBD spurred by the nearby metro station.
