Google allows Gmail users to change addresses for first time since 2025

Google announced on Monday that users can now change their Gmail addresses, a feature quietly rolled out late in 2025 starting in India. CEO Sundar Pichai emphasized the update allows users to move on from outdated handles, though changes can only be made three times and require a year between alterations. Old addresses will remain accessible as alternate emails.
