Meet the Melbourne-built robot now in dozens of aged care homes
Andromeda Robotics deployed its 22nd robot, Abi, in Mecwacare homes across Victoria this month, marking the largest rollout of humanoid companion robots in Australian aged care. Grace Brown, the company’s CEO, aims to tackle loneliness in residents, with 74 percent of staff reporting reduced agitation when Abi is present. An undisclosed US customer will begin using Abi shortly.
