Police recovered the body of a seven-year-old girl who drowned while swimming in the Brisbane River on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services were called to Colleges Crossing Recreation Reserve shortly after 5pm after she failed to resurface. A large search operation concluded with divers locating her body just before 10.30pm.
