Former US Air Force sergeant pleads guilty to $37 million fraud

Former US Air Force master sergeant Alan Hayward James pleaded guilty on Wednesday to defrauding the military out of $37 million by rigging IT contract bids. James, who operated a nine-year scheme, faces up to 45 years in prison and has agreed to pay restitution of at least $1.45 million to the defense department.
