Labor targets NDIS growth to save budget amid economic pressures

Labor will make slowing the growth of the $50 billion National Disability Insurance Scheme a key budget saving as it faces economic pressures. National Disability Services chief Michael Perusco urged providers to embrace upcoming reforms, stating, "Inaction is not cost neutral." The NDIS is projected to cost $100 billion by the next decade if growth is not curtailed.
